Attorney Anthony Jurek focuses his law practice on the appeal of criminal convictions and defense against criminal prosecution.  He has argued--and won-- before the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Court of Appeals, and in circuit courts across the state. He is Chair of the Dane County Bar Association Criminal Section and Secretary of the Dane County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. He has served as part time faculty at Madison College, teaching legal research.

Attorney Jurek has experienced great success at both bench and jury trials. He has achieved dismissal of filed charges before trial, and at trial has won both convictions and acquittal. On appeal, he has won both new trials for the wrongfully convicted and postconviction dismissal of charges with prejudice.

Before beginning his own practice, Atty. Jurek served briefly as a Special Prosecutor in a rural Wisconsin county, developing a diversion program to direct defendants out of the criminal justice system and into social services while performing the duties of an Assistant District Attorney.

Anthony received his Juris Doctor from the University of Wisconsin Law School. While at the UW Law School, he served as an intern on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the Wisconsin Coalition Against Domestic Violence, and as a consultant for a forensic psychology practice
Anthony received his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from the University of Wisconsin, Green Bay.

Attorney Jurek is admitted to practice in Wisconsin State courts and the Western District of Wisconsin federal court.
